Carolina Online is taking big steps to offer better and more enhanced services. The first step will be switching you to our new dial-up numbers to provide you with faster and better dial-up service. Customers running the Internet Connection Kit 2.5.2 will automatically receive the phone book updates and will simply need to choose the new dial-up number from the phone book. Customers running the Carolina.Net dialer can download the updated dialer from http://customercare.carolina.net/dialerupdate/coldialer.exe. Customers who have manually created a dial-up networking connection will need to download the Carolina.Net dialer or manually change the phone number. The following new numbers are active and if you are dialing into one of these areas you should begin using the number that is local to you:

Lumberton, NC - 402-1000
Laurinburg, NC - 403-1000
Rockingham, NC - 360-1000
Wilmington, NC - 404-1000

 

 

 

The following numbers will be deactivated

Laurinburg, NC - 276-6510, 276-8179
Rockingham, NC - 895-4401

 

Customers who have local phone service from telephone companies other than Bellsouth may experience a busy signal or message about the call not being completed when dialing these new numbers. If you experience problems please continue to use the old number and notify us by sending an email to busysignal@carolina.net with your phone number and the name of your local phone service provider.
